My name is Tristian Hawes my internship took place in spring of 2022 with Always Blissful in College Station, Tx

We aim to make your wedding or event unique by designing it specifically for you while ensuring the process is a seamless + stress-free experience. No matter what stage you are at in the planning process, Always Blissful can assist in creating a memorable day you will never forget. So, from "I do" to "cheers," there is no reason to go down this journey alone. Let us make your wedding + event dreams a reality so you can enjoy every blissful moment
We are looking for young professionals who exemplify excellent guest service, hospitality, time management skill,s and the ability to think on their feet. Ideally, this is for those who are pursuing a degree in an Event Management related field but it is not required. This position requires availability 2-3 weekends a month and is a paid position
Although this is a paid internship, the experience you gain is much more valuable. This internship allows you to be involved with the planning process if you are interested, but it is not required. For example, you are more than welcome to sit in on any meetings with couples before wedding day that involves planning, but you will not be paid for these; it is strictly for extra experience. While also gaining hands-on experience you will also have the chance to network with others in the field.
Through this internship, I met multiple new people, including other vendors that work in surrounding areas. This was an essential aspect of the training because networking and meeting people will help you in your future career and open up new opportunities. You will learn how to deal with any difficulties before the wedding without the couple getting involved. This allows you to think fast and be creative when arranging other plans. You gain time awareness while having to follow a timeline for the day of the event to make sure that everything is staying on track. This is important because vendors are booked a certain amount of hours, so if things get pushed back, vendors might not get everything they were booked to get. One crucial skill that you will learn is the knowledge of religious customs and how to be inclusive. For the ceremony portion of the wedding, different religions have traditions similar and separate from the others. The last would be having to keep up with the trends going on in the industry people will have questions or ask your opinion on what others do or what you think will look best since you are in the field.
